Capati Phodani

Chpati phodani / Vagharni is made for the breakfast with leftover chaptis. Its very simple and easy to make.


Ingredients:
  • 2-3 Chaptis (Leftover for 1 day)
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 1 Tomato (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • A pinch of Hing
  • 2-3 Tbsp Oil
  • Few fresh Coriander leaves
  • Salt  and Sugar to taste.
Method: 
     Make a make pieces of chaptis and keep it a side. Heat the pan with oil, add cumin, mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Add onion, tomatoes and fry till they turn tender. add red chili , turmeric powder and mix everything well. Add pieces of chapti , salt , sugar and mix it well. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve with curds.

Yesterday itself I had phodnichi poli and I like it to have @ any time of day .. I normally use food processor to chop these as i gives a sheera or poha feel .
